Daniel Martin’s favourite floor: Imperio Caramel Oak

We asked Quick-Step Floors rider Daniel Martin to use our FloorExplorer in finding the ideal floor for his dream interior. The result? An oak floor from the Imperio parquet collection!

Daniel Martin is one of the most spectacular riders in the peloton. With his climbing talent and his explosive acceleration, the British Irishman and nephew of former Tour de France winner Stephen Roche has won classic one-day races such as Liège-Bastogne-Liège (2013) and the Tour of Lombardy (2014). Martin also holds his own in the longer stage races.

Daniel is a rider with character who likes to race on intuition and is never afraid to go on the offensive. He feels most at home in the green and mountainous landscape of the Walloon classics so it’s no surprise that ‘Dan’ should also like to bring nature into his interior. He loves the exotic refuge look, which is characterised by the use of authentic materials in conjunction with large floral prints on the walls.

According to the Quick-Step FloorExplorer, the Imperio parquet ‘Caramel Oak Oiled’ is the ideal match. “Fortunately I’ve also got it at home”, Martin laughs. The Imperio planks contain plenty of knots, which lend this hardwoord floor a lot of character. Imperio floors exude quality and class and the emphasise the feel, authenticity and craftsmanship of real wood. The grooves around the knots further deepen the effect of the oversized planks. A unique floor for a unique rider!
