This year’s biggest world-class cycling event - the Tour de France – will be passing through Belgium on 6 July. Just as in the past seventeen years, flooring specialist Quick-Step will be supporting this event once again with one of the most professional teams in the pack. The most likely winners in the Quick-Step team include Mark Cavendish, Rigoberto Urán and Tony Martin. To them, only the best is good enough for a perfect race, an ideology they have incidentally also applied to their favourite Quick-Step floor.
Preferably in the lead and in yellow: that’s Tony Martin
“The vinyl is so smooth and the planks click together in no time at all. And I have to admit: speed is my highest priority in everything I do!”
Chances are big that time trial specialist Tony Martin will win the first stage of the Tour de France this year. If he does, this will entitle him to wear the famous yellow jersey, one of the most highly coveted leader’s jerseys. It therefore comes as no surprise that this colour also goes perfectly in his interior. Yellow has an invigorating effect, which is a pleasant added benefit for this speed devil. The Salone del Mobile in Milan featured the colour yellow as one of the reigning trends for this autumn, and it is expected to become a prominent element in the design world in 2016. To achieve the best interior decorating results with a bright colour like yellow a serene foundation is of the essence. “I like warm, bright colours, which led me to look for a floor that would provide the right foundation for me to pull out all the stops! The Silk Oak Light planks in the Livyn collection appealed to me immediately. They give warmth, but create a serene foundation that keeps it from become too cluttered.” The vinyl floors made by Quick-Step are strong and extremely durable, while their matte finish and sophisticatedly finished design give them a highly realistic appearance. What’s more, all the floors in the Livyn collection can be laid quickly and easily. Nothing could be better suited to Martin’s lifestyle.
